Why should I get my pool inspected?

Selling your property?

House Sales make up approximately 80% of the pool inspections booked as owners need a Certificate quickly. A current Pool Safety Certificate gives your prospective purchasers confidence to make an immediate offer. Your Pool Safety Certificate remains current for 2 years – so getting it inspected earlier is strongly recommended.

Leasing your Property?

In addition to obtaining your first certificate, it must also be renewed every 2 years thereafter (whilst the property is rented)

Other reasons for getting a Pool Inspection

Apart from Selling and Leasing, you must by law obtain a pool safety certificate if you are:
  • Instructed by your local Council
  • Operating a “business” from home such as Day Care centre, Air BNB or Bed and Breakfast. (Renew every 2 years)
  • For a “shared pool” – such as a unit complex pool. (Renew every 1 year)
